Since we've installed the display cabinets, pantry & crown molding, I figured it was time to take up-to-date photos of the entire kitchen. I've posted photos of the demolition process, as well as the kitchen progress back in December. After the last post on the most recent kitchen updates, I decided it was about time to take photos of the entire space, & not just the side with the new display cabinets.

hall bath makeover

Since moving into our home, we have worked little by little on the hallway bathroom. When we first saw the bathroom it looked like this:

It's been a while since I've updated y'all on our kitchen... okay, that is a major understatement. The last kitchen update was on July 20. Oops. 

Before I show recent kitchen photos, let's recap on the brownness that was our kitchen, shall we?

When we first toured our house around Christmas time last year, the kitchen looked like this:

I'm pretty much in love with how our hearth room has turned out so far. The last post I made was about painting our fireplace. Since then we have done a lot!

delays are not always a bad thing

Well, it is July 11 & if you would have asked me back in May if we would be in our new house by now, I would have said, "Definitely." Yet here I am, writing this post from G's parents house right before I go over to our house to paint cabinets. 

We began this "updating" process with a relatively simple list of things to do before we moved in...as time went on, we got more creative & the list got much longer. The new additions have turned out really well & I think they will make a big difference. All this to say, our kitchen is going to be fabulous & I can hardly wait to reveal the finished product!

New city, new house & lots of changes. 

We are about a week away from moving in to our new place, & I decided it was about time I update everyone on our progress. 

Floors

The floors have been stripped, stained & glossed, & now we are waiting on them to fully dry before we can move everything in. Gentry & his parents did all the dirty work while I stayed in Jackson to do hair & make up for a dear friend's wedding. (I think I got the better end of the deal)
